Dial-A-Journey offers a self-drive service for voluntary organisations which are registered as member organisations with them. There are also a number of smaller vehicles that can be hired by members to be driven by a carer or loved one.

The self-drive option provides more flexibility for transport arrangements, particularly for eveninings and weekends.

If hiring a minibus, the intended driver must hold a current Midas certificate and a D1 minibus entitlement on their driving licence . Dial-A-Journey can provide training and can also provide minibuses with drivers for Groups without their own driver.
